Software Stem ("we", "us") is an AI development company based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This policy explains what information we collect when you use softwarestem.com or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.
What we collect
Information you send us
When you use the contact form, email us, or message us on WhatsApp, we receive whatever you include: typically your name, email address, company, and a description of your project. The contact form on this site does not store anything on our servers; it opens your own email application with the message pre-filled, and the message is sent from your account to ours.
Information collected automatically
This site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) to operate and secure the service. The site also loads fonts and script libraries from third-party content delivery networks (Google Fonts, cdnjs, unpkg); your browser sends those providers your IP address when it fetches the files, as it does for any website that uses them.
Cookies and local storage
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The website assistant (the chat widget) keeps the current conversation in your browser's session storage so it survives page changes; it is cleared when you close the tab and is never sent to us. If we enable privacy-friendly analytics in future, we will update this page.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and, if we work together, to scope and deliver the project.
- To keep records of proposals and correspondence for as long as the business relationship lasts, plus any period required by UAE law.
- To keep the website secure and available.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing lists you did not ask to join.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers needed to run the site and communicate with you: our hosting provider (Vercel), our email provider, and WhatsApp/Meta if you choose to contact us there. Each processes data under its own privacy policy. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Client project data
Data you give us for a project (for example camera footage, datasets or documents) is governed by the agreement for that project, not by this policy. By default we process it only for the agreed work, on infrastructure you approve, and delete or return it when the engagement ends.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you. Email mariakhalidnaveed@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable period. If you are in the UAE, you also have rights under Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data; if you are in the EU or UK, the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to you and you may complain to your local supervisory authority.
Security and retention
We keep enquiries only as long as needed to respond and, for clients, for the life of the relationship and applicable legal retention periods. We use reputable providers with encryption in transit, and we limit access to people who need it.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
